This acrylic series of twelve paintings is essentially a contemporary, portrait-based study of the Buddhist Wheel of Life, or Samsara. Each piece is born from introspection and observation, filtered through the lenses that shape Karma’s worldview: Buddhist philosophy, his work as a non-violent activist, and the everpresent search for a sense of belonging in exile. This series specifically depicts the twelve links of interdependent origination(nidānas), the chain of causes through which we are caught in this endless cycle of suffering and rebirth. Each painting is 18 x 12 inches.
